Artwork Setup Guide

We prefer to print from high resolution PDF files but we also accept the majority of Macintosh programmes. These include; Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Indesign, Quark Express, Illustrator.

All images, digital photos and scans must be inserted at 120 dpi at full size and converted to CMYK. (This also applies to the finished file output.)

Text in PDFs. Embed all fonts used.

Text in Programes. (Convert all text to curves, outlines or paths. Keep a copy of the original file (prior to any text conversion) in case future changes need to be made.

Do not use LZW compression on Tiffs or other bitmap images.

Bleed edges are not required.

Crop/Registration Marks are not required as our rip software applies them.

Solid black objects and/or backgrounds should be set to the following values:
C=50%, M= 0%, Y=0%, K=100%. These values will produce a richer black.

For black text only use; C=0%, M=0%, Y=0%,K=100%.

You are 100% responsible for the accuracy of your layouts. Please proof-read all layouts carefully.

If we have any problems with your artwork, we will notify you prior to printing it. We try to review all files within 24hrs of receipt. Our review process is nominal and it is ultimately your responsibility to produce industry standard artwork.

We do not guarantee an 'exact' colour match to any previous job, either printed by us or elsewhere. If the files we print match the layout of the files you sent us and a reprint is requested, the cost of reprinting will be charged to you.
